SpotlightAI ONSITE: Revolutionizing Drone Imagery for Mine Detection

Safe Pro’s subsidiary, Safe Pro AI, has launched SpotlightAI ONSITE, an AI-powered software designed to analyze drone imagery in real-time. This Microsoft Windows-based platform can work with virtually any drone, enabling automatic mine detection without requiring an internet connection.

Currently undergoing real-world testing in Ukraine, the software is a key advancement in Safe Pro’s AI-powered imagery analysis ecosystem, especially for applications such as route planning, resupply, and medevac operations.

Real-World Impact and Usage in Ukraine

SpotlightAI ONSITE was developed in response to significant user demand from Ukraine, where the need for actionable intelligence in hostile environments is critical. The software can process drone imagery locally on laptops, providing a seamless solution for areas without reliable internet access.

Over the past two years, Safe Pro has significantly upgraded its SpotlightAI platform, which is already being used by humanitarian mine action organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to clear landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Ukraine.

Advanced Machine Learning and Data Scalability

Safe Pro’s patented SpotlightAI technology is powered by advanced machine learning (ML) models, capable of detecting over 150 types of landmines and UXOs. With a growing dataset, the platform has processed more than 921,000 images and identified over 16,500 dangerous objects.

The SPAI software is compatible with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) drones, including models from Skydio, Inc. In addition, SpotlightAI can operate locally or scale through Amazon Web Services (AWS) to generate high-resolution, GPS-tagged maps that provide detailed situational awareness for planning mine clearing and land release operations.

This breakthrough is pivotal in making agricultural lands safer and addressing global food security challenges.

In partnership with NIBULON Ltd., one of Ukraine’s leading grain producers, Safe Pro is working to clear landmines from farmlands devastated by the ongoing conflict. Ukraine, often called the “breadbasket of Europe,” has experienced agricultural losses exceeding $50 billion. By employing AI and drone technologies, SPAI and NIBULON aim to restore productivity and revive global food supplies.

    SpotlightAI: A Game-Changer

Safe Pro’s patent-pending SpotlightAI system has analyzed over 840,000 drone images in Ukraine, identifying 10,912 explosive remnants of war across 3,887 hectares (9,604 acres). This cutting-edge platform processes each image in under 0.2 seconds, a stark contrast to the hours required for manual analysis.

With its unparalleled efficiency, SpotlightAI is revolutionizing the process of mine detection and land reclamation. SPAI continues to demonstrate innovation and resilience, positioning itself as a key player in leveraging AI for humanitarian and commercial purposes worldwide.

In response to Governor Ron DeSantis’s declaration of a widespread state of emergency across 51 of Florida’s 67 counties, Airborne Response is deploying its uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) teams. With over 120 trained pilots on standby, the subsidiary is prepared to assess storm damage and support utility restoration efforts following the hurricane’s landfall.

    Threats Posed by Hurricane Milton

Hurricane Milton is anticipated to bring life-threatening conditions to Florida’s Gulf Coast, including high winds, significant storm surges, and heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding. Under a recently extended multi-year contract, Airborne Response’s flight teams will leverage UAS technology to evaluate the state of power lines and poles, aiding utility crews in their restoration efforts.

A Proven Track Record in Disaster Response

Airborne Response has been instrumental in disaster management within Florida for nearly a decade, conducting over 500 drone flights during the recovery phase of Category 4 Hurricane Ian, which generated nearly $1 million in revenue. These services play a crucial role in assisting Citizens Property Insurance’s various business units in assessing the condition of roof structures and other key areas of interest, particularly in the aftermath of severe weather events.

Strengthening Industry Relationships and Expanding Services
